The Boys showed what they are made of against Thurrock. A last minute injury to Tom our central defender. Left us in a really difficult situation. Dave & Carl decided to pull Emmanuel back from midfield to cover. What a great move  that was. He played out of his skin along side our other rock solid defence. Thurrock piled on the pressure as they were beaten 2 weeks earlier by us. the boys just soaked up all the pressure,Alfie was solid in between the posts again. 0-0 half time. The second half started in much the same way. Enio came on with Billy a few minutes into the half,replacing Cade & Sam. Not the prettiest game ever,but we just stayed calm. then about 10 mins from the end Afam does one of his runs through the Thurrock defence.They try everything to stop him but to no evail. he places the ball neatly passed the keeper for a stunning winner. Thurrock were deflated to say the least. They never stopped trying to attack though,so every boy was helping the boys at the back to soak it up. At the final whistle 1-0 to Aveley Tigers !! Unbeaten in League & Cup so far. The Boys are really playing some lovely football
